Lab Notebook
Chronological, immutable, and witnessed
Append-only entries with multi-factor witnessed signing, non-repudiation, and corrections that reference the original rather than overwrite.
Built for the way labs actually run
The lab notebook is the canonical record of your bench work. Entries are chronological — the order in which they happened is the order in which they are stored. Entries are append-only — once an entry is signed and witnessed, it cannot be edited or deleted. Corrections are made by adding a new entry that references the original, so the full history is always preserved.
Witnessing is a multi-factor signed action that records the witness identity, the timestamp, and a hash of the entry being witnessed. The signature includes non-repudiation, so a witness cannot later deny having signed. The full notebook is full-text searchable across every experiment you have access to, and entries can be exported for inspection on demand.
Three steps from setup to sign-off
Write the entry
Capture what you did, what you observed, and what it means — in chronological order.
Witness and sign
A second lab member witnesses the entry with a multi-factor signed action. Non-repudiation is preserved.
Correct by appending
Need to fix something? Add a new entry that references the original. The past is never overwritten.
