Deep Research Agent

Multi-hop research that follows the trail

Give the Deep Research Agent a single question and it runs a multi-hop trace — breaking the question into sub-queries, reading the results, identifying gaps, and following citation chains.

What it does

Built for the way research actually happens

The Deep Research Agent is what you use when a simple search is not enough. You give it a single research question and it decomposes that question into a tree of sub-queries. It reads the top results for each sub-query, identifies gaps in the evidence, and follows citation chains — both forward (who cited this paper?) and backward (what does this paper cite?) — until the evidence converges.

You get back a synthesized brief: the question, the sub-queries that were run, the sources found at each hop, the gaps that remain, and a written summary. Every claim in the summary is linked to the source it came from. Nothing is asserted without evidence.

How it works

Three steps, every time

  1. 01

    Seed a question

Enter your research question — the agent handles decomposition automatically.

  2. 02

    Watch the trail unfold

Sub-queries branch, sources are read and deduped, gaps are surfaced in real time.

  3. 03

    Review the synthesized brief

Read the summary, click any claim to jump to its source, and push sources into your Source Library.

Why it matters

What this gives you

  • Find sources a simple search would miss
  • See the full research trail — every hop, every source, every gap
  • Get a written brief that you can defend in a supervisor meeting
  • Push curated sources straight into your Source Library
